Murder and the Good Old Boys' Club The High Country Mystery Series Book 7 edition by Loretta Jackson Vickie Britton Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

I received a free copy of this book as an ARC at my request. I voluntarily chose to review. This is my honest review.
I had not read any other books by these authors, Loretta Jackson and Vickie Britton, until this one. What a wise choice I made! It is well-written and has an investigation that has surprises as it proceeds.
The people under suspicion are numerous, their motives are mixed, and they all belong to the " good old boys' club". They are wealthy, movers and shakers of their community, and fiercely loyal to each other. Jackson and Britton plotted, and wrote, a great story of a puzzling investigation!
Each person in the story was fleshed out in a manner which gave heft their character and personality. Their description of Colorado was excellent; I felt the cold and savored the air of a mountain winter. This descriptive ability encompassed every facet needed to picture the story as it unfolded.
There are secondary lines of interest connected to those involved in the investigation that add to the story, as well. In addition, this is a clean book, was well-edited, and a pleasure in which to be engrossed. I not only enjoyed the book, but was challenged by the mystery of who committed the murder. (I was right on the person, but missed on motive.). Jam packed with everything a strong mystery needs, this delivers!

Murder and the Good Old Boys' Club The High Country Mystery Series Book 7 edition by Loretta Jackson Vickie Britton Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

This novel kept my interest from the first page and built up at a good pace. I couldn't guess the villian even though I'm usually able to. Good read )
Jeff is trying to keep a man alive who won't take the death threats against him seriously. AND, he's getting sucked into the chaos of wedding planning for his soon to be nuptials with Loris. There's plenty of suspects, and theories as to who made the death threats, and who actually murdered three people. The ending is a little bit of a cliffhanger.
Durmont Cemetery. McQuede (Black Mountain Pass) Sheriff Jeff McQuede stopped at Mom & Pop’s Café, to talk with Professor Barry Dawson (Jeff’s BMF).
Pleasant Valley Retreat Mayor Bud Palmer, Fredrick Preston III (banker), Harold Hagen (executive, Preston Coal), & Alice “Poker Alice” Norwood (widow, rancher) met.
Harold had found Arnold “Arnie” Barton (Barton Enterprises) in his office.
He had been murdered.
It appears John Norwood was also.

Ben Ward (husband, investor, city leader) had disappeared.
Ned Farley (52, Arnie’s dad) is found dead also.
Why did Erica Hagen (Harold’s wife, The Place boutique) call Sheriff McQuede.
Will the murder mystery get solved & someone brought to justice?

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written murder mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great murder mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Thank you for the free Author; PDF book

Meet Sheriff Jeff McQuede, Coal County, Wyoming. His base is the fictional town of Durmont, set in the beautiful up-country. McQuede is soon to be married, and he's not being as supportive as he could be with the ceremony decisions – because he's worried there's going to be a murder.

No, he's not psychic. Two years ago, Ben Ward's wife, Evelyn died. He bought a double headstone, so that when he died he'd be buried next to her. But someone has gone at the headstone with a drill and red paint, and it now says that Ben is going to be die in three days.

As McQuede's friend Dawson says, "A big money investor like Ben has lots of friends... and enemies. Kind of goes along with the territory when you're a member of the Good Old Boys' Club."

I enjoyed this book, by sisters Loretta Jackson and Vickie Britton. The writing style is good and the plotting OK, too. The book doesn't approach the style of mystery masters, but it is an engaging read. 3.9 stars, rounded up to 4.

I received a free paperback of "Murder and the Good Old Boys' Club" for review.

Happy Reader
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was written every well. I couldn't guess who did it. I like Sheriff Jeff McQuede, he definitely one of the good guys.
this story is that has two murders that is one where the victims are related to each other.it has its share of a suspects
I am a fan of these sister authors and also love a book that has Jeff McQuede in it. Readers should know that a mystery thriller with Sheriff McQuede always means you are in for an adventurous ride. This time, just before his wedding day, the sheriff finds himself in the middle of a mystery. Beginning with an apparent suicide, then a case of vandalism of a headstone, dead bodied begin showing up. Jeff is on the trail of greed, good old boys and the problems when the two things mingle. Sit back and enjoy this adventurous mystery.
